Title: Wanted C4 L98 Alternator Bracket/carrier.

Yes I have Phill in Seafords number.

But thought I would ask if any one in Sydney has the above bracket.

It is compatable for 85 thru 90 - maybe even up too 93.

It is the bracket at front top LH side of L98 engine.

Helps support and mount the Alternator.

Does that help. Any good Corvette (C4) man would know immediately.

Its only you plastic headlight (C6) men who need a picture.

Bfit, I do not think you can solder, weld, plasma or anything else this stuff.

Its a porous, light weight alloy of  Alluminium or zink or or or or ?????.....

Has a sand mould texture and finish.

There are a few listed on eBay US  .
That looks as if it could be repaired with a aluminium plate.
It looks like someone has been leaving on this an broke it.

Somebody has been "levering" I think is the word, but I dont think it is an actual word.

Yes your site shows the part required, do the conversion, its about - $150~200 Aus. Part & post.

I'll try Phill next week. And who is "Gary May".?

Never know someone in Syd may still come out of the woodwork, give it time.

It’s always the way.Four months later. Here’s one on eBay. It’s in Qld. for $30. Ending in 2 hours.
Another (the one you were after. Though they both say it’s for the year model you wanted). for $22 ending in 2 days.
