Title: updates from RMS
Post by: 69CVET on June 25, 2015, 09:47:51 AM
Hi Guys,

Just informed RMS are now cracking down on the post 73 Cars for Blue Slips
What this mean's installation all must comply with ADR seatbelts, replacement of headlights, fitment of right door mirror, amber indicators in rear and clear parking lights in front and then has to be certified by an RMS approved engineer ( at a cost of around $700 - $1000 )

Also trying to get my 76 done and this is what we are up against - anyone with similar issues of late ?

72 and below should be fine ,,, ( Phew my 72 just arrived at the Docks in Port Kembla )
Hoping I will have it on the road within 2 weeks and back with you boys living the dream !!

I think anyone offering up a car to be registered , would want every thing to work if only for their own safety , never mind others who use he road .
Not only work but work correctly.

Qld already require all those, although It only cost me $150 to have a mobile guy come and certify and mod plate it.

The replacement if headlights is a definite.  As bfit said, the others should be done for your own safety.  Australians don't understand flashing brake lights...

No mate got to vettes doing 1 on Club and the other full rego
So with a new import and blue slip it needs to have a RMS engineer sign off on the blue slip authorisation work.
