Title: Converting 72 BB from Points to Electronic Ignition ( with Taco )

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has upgraded to a HEI or MSD that had a Taco connected to their Dizzy ?
Want to remove the older Mallory Ignition with Points/Coil which has the screw in Taco connected.

Seems MSD do one in a Billet type with coil and controller but its $1200 ( ouch... ) trying to get a combo unit ( if it exists ?)

Peter Brooke's has a couple of Msd HEI Dissy,s drop and play for that vet.

I use a msd with machanical tacho drive with A6 controller
Very good system.
Although I don't use the tach drive these days,
If you do get the msd distributor make sure you grease  the tach drive,

You can buy a dissy that has a hall effect ignition fitted with tacho drive same larger than  original. Dissy just  drops in you have to do a wiring mod to bypass the inbuilt resistance wire in loom. Found a replacement one on ebay at Hornsby $89 +$20 postage
