Post by: Matt G on April 24, 2018, 11:01:55 PM
Hey Guys,
Can someone refresh my memory with regards to the Ecklers purchase process?

G’day Matt,
Whenever I order stuff from them, I check out with PayPal.
Shipping is a killer but most of the time the shop price is better than in Oz.
I’ve never had a drama (touch wood), from tiny roadster roof bushes to shark bite rear end.
Cheers,
Pete.
P.s. They’re on the east coast of the U.S. which makes shipping dearer, I guess. So shop around at others....Zip, Corvette Central, Voluteer, West Coast corvette’s..........

The process I go through on my iPad is.....log in to eckler’s....click on what I want.....check out with PayPal.
Check the year model and quantity of your order! Does anybody want some C2 rag top windscreen bushes?

Thanks Pete, Same experience for me.  I used them (or swap meets, etc) almost exclusively when I lived in the USA, and have used them a lot since back, however I remember a discount process in one of our last magazines, but I can’t remember what the process was...  Anyone still got their last Mag with the process?

On their email’s, they provide a code (series of letters). I deleted mine this morning but they were spruking a 20% discount on parts. Ending at (their) midnight.
Cheers.

Yes the Postage is a killer, however, its free if your in the lower 48.

Some I've heard get a friend in California to order, its delivered free.

Then they pack up several orders and on forward via the cheapest methode.

Thanks Vettech, I think I’ll send it to a mate in OH and have him put them in a parcel/bag for me. Should be less than 1kg total weight.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

Some years back a guy in Alabama send me a 69 steering column, he boxed it to be under the USP dimensions cost me $12.5 US to mail our here .
thing are more expensive  now, but if the sender has the energy to go to the post office you can save big time.

Ecklers Discount code appears to be not working.

"B" will get in touch with Ecklers and advise as soon as possible, most likely Tues as they run a day behind.

Some members open accounts and get good discounts that way.

Regards.

Be sitting down when you get the freight cost.

Thanks guys.  I just placed the order with them.  I found some additional bits that I wanted to renew and that were pretty light, so I’m up for $90 in freight on about $320 of parts.  I can live with that ratio.
Thanks again for the feedback
