For those that have been told by ROH that they have nothing to fit a Corvette, think again.
ROH make styles for export only, obviously handled by head office because none of the state offices know about it. :b4
Styles include ZS, RT, SNYPER, ZS & AZZURRO. They make them for C3's and C4's but the catch is you may have to wait until a big enough order from the USA is made.
ROH is at http://www.roh.com.au and info can be obtained through Bob Jane Toombul at bjtoombul@tmarts.com.au. Ask for Stuart and tell him Chris sent you.
Cheers

Good timing ... I also spoke to a gent from ROH Wheels at last weekend's AutoSalon. We're still talking about some kind of trade deal through my Rebel Projects thingy and he mentioned if I can get them a decent sized channel they can return good discounts ... I'll mention these models and see what happens ....
Thanx for the tip ..

17" all round please.
-
I am leaning toward to the RT rims or possibly the Snyper (if they make them for chevs). I got a quote for $343 for the RT's.
The only problem is that you'd have to wait until a big enough order was made from here or the USA for them to do a run.
I still can't believe their own people didn't know they made them for Chev's! ;eek
-
best way to get the ROH wheels is direct to adelaide
i chose for the camaro either thr RT or the Snypers didnt really matter which one they did
i ended up with a set of snypers for the camaro from memory the cost was around $270 per rim and pickup was from ROH in silverwater
best part is it only took 2 months for the call to say they were ready :):bold:bold
-
You got a number? I contacted ROH direct and they won't give me a price because they wholesale only. From what I understand they only do runs of about 40 rims.
You wanna sell yours? :P
-
I'll be selling mine when I get some 17's
-
Hey Bob, you like the RT's? Maybe we could get a small group to order?
It would just be my luck that I'd order them and have to wait 9 months to get them.
-
Haven't seen a pic of them yet. Got one?
-
ring adelaide direct ..i lost the guys name :( or i would give it to you
they do only wholesale BUT they cannot tell you where in aus to get them ...i ordered DIRECT from adelaide and picked up from the branch in sydney :).....just need to be persisitent ...also ad that i did this less than 18 months ago !!!
here is the pic to prove it !!!!!
-
try this link
i will also try and get in contact with them again as a 5th wheel for me as a spare would not be such a bad idea :)
i sent the email saying that i had already done this before MAYBE it will help
from memory i had to deal with the export guy to get anywhere with them

AusRs
I tried that form and got this response " FOR PRICES YOU NEED TO GO TO YOUR LOCAL TYRE DEALER AS WE ARE WHOLESALE ONLY, GETTING EXPORT WHEELS IS VERY HARD TO GET A ETA ON AS IT DEPENDS ON ORDERS, AN EXAMPLE IS I HAVE A ORDER IN PLACE FOR A SET OF EXPORT WHEELS AND THE CUSTOMER HAS BEEN WAITING FOR OVER 12 WEEKS AND THERE IS STILL NO IDEA IF OR WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO BE MADE.
-
wish i still had his name ...bloody puter crash :(
keep trying go through local tyre dealers is a joke .....all they do is ring silverwater and silverwater say nope dont have those ...
talk to export guy is a must ..also dont be to fussy if you like either rt or snyper settle for whichever is made first ..above all be persistent (read be a pita) the person you speak to ...get their name ..if no help go to the next up the line ...it is what i did ...
i would love to see a few more cars in aus with the ROH wheels on ...am sick to death of simmons wheels
-
I suppose this is not a good time to tell you that I really wanted simmons F17's.
But they wanted $500+ which is above my budget.
-
Chris...Not knowing what other choices were available for us especially in the 17" range, I was prepared to just go for the Torque Thrust II wheels. I wasn't aware that Simmons had anything to fit Corvettes at all, but then again I haven't looked too hard just yet either.
I do have just one or two other things on my plate at the moment.;ay
-
Here is what I found, with some prices:
SPEEDY - nil fit
CSA - nil fit
Prowler - nil fit
Beast - nil fit
WORK
Septimo SS - nil fit
Equip - $1370 per wheel
RSZ - nil fit
ROH
Venturo - will fit made to order (RT & ZS are export)
RT & Snyper -
SIMMONS
FR17 - $630 from Simmons, $517.50 from Australia's Best Tyre Service
The Simmons are a 3 piece wheel so can be made to fit anything. Any 2 or 3 piece wheel is going to be expensive - it all comes down to budget.
Cheers

They're a mob in Sydney that make their own wheels. When I get a chance I'll give them a call and see what I can find out providing they're still in business.
-
I just called Neale Wheeels and they put me onto a guy who runs a place that might be able to help. It's called Croydon Racing Developments and he imports and builds any size wheel you could ask for apparently. I've got his number and will call later this arvo when I'm at work, Gotta leave now, but have fire training for 4 hours so won't be calling untill after 3,00pm.
The saga continues.
-
Thanks Brutus.
While I'm at it, what do you think of C4 sawblades on a C3? I think you need 2 1/2 inch spacers to fit them with stock T/Arms.

-
Brutus, did you get onto Neale wheels?
AusRs, did you manage to get onto ROH about your spare?
Are wheels spacers/adapters illegal over here? It wouldn't be hard to get a set of adapters made up to fit a Commodore pattern (120mm bolt circle as oppsed to 120.65 for Chev). Having adapters to suit Commodores would open up a whole range of rims at a substantially cheaper cost. I'm sure offset wouldn't be a problem, just getting 8 or 9 inch widths.
-
Apparently ROH are releasing a new range in a week or 2 that will fit a chev pattern. ;35
Apparently some hounding does pay off!

see new thread for details:pinki;33
-
seemed to have missed the thread here.......if ROH chrome rims fit a monaro will they fit a vette stud pattern, my mate got his from a tyre place in waratah street sutherland????thery look sensational, five spoke I think?
-
chev stud pattern 5 on 120mm
holden commondore stud pattern
5 on 120.65
will stress the studs and prob snap them in time
also ofsets will vary between a vette and a commondore
-
I've seen Ford stud patterned wheels drilled out to fit Holdens and visa versa that was quite successful, so surely such a minor discrepency shouldn't present too much of a concern?
Anyone with more of an insight into this?
-
btw
when i bought my wheels direct from ROH the cost was similar to buying wheels for a commonwhore .......not overly expensive ,i just had to pick them up from silverwater (sydney) and pay cash ;35
-
Hey guys,
I talked to a Terry from CC tyres at Penrith yesterday. He can do 16 x 8 in rims for a vette (HQ stud pattern) for $245. 4.5 in pattern with correct offset. I crunched the numbers and a 255/50 - 16 only has a slightly smaller rolling diameter that the original C3 rubber.
He quoted me under $2000 for a complete wheel and tyre package.
BTW I checked. Spacers are a no-go in NSW
-
Nothing in a 17" at all?
-
my roh wheels are 17 inch ...get in touch and i will give you the direct number to a guy at ROH in adelaide who CAN supply 17 inch wheels to suit a vette !!!!!
-
Thanks for that. It's very good to know that. Any chance of a pic of your wheels at all?
-
i had a pic of my wheels on the thread earlier BUT somehow it wont link anymore :(
will try another one
that didnt work :(
can email one if you want
-
