I've just been informed that my booking has changed to this new date and I'm allowed to go.
-
OK who is ready for Port Weekend. I can't wait!!!!!! Ray N Joy
-
Fingers crossed guys, keep an eye on the news in case you need to do something like have a passport to come.
-
Yes let’s hope for a positive outcome,
We are seeing good numbers of vaccinations,
Bfit
-
"B" is going "Hell or high Water"
We have our Black Ski masks ready to run the blockades.
-
Mustangs AWAY !!!!
-
Just a heads up NSW Gov changed the regional travel to 80% vaccinated, they also say this is hoped to be achieved before the end of October 2021.
-
time will tell . the take up rate is slowing ,while there is little interested in AZ there is a shortage of Pfizer and Moderna.
I have one each way, A shot of AZ and One of Pfizer. so should I would be double half vaccinated.

-
I would have been more inclined to say "confused".
-
The Covid rate in Vic is rising and today is more than twice that of NSW.
Vic always wants to be the leader - go for it guys.
In the meantime I'm packing my toggs ready for Port.
Can't wait. I can already feel that sun, the sand, the water, the margaritas, and good company.
Late comers always welcome. 1st big weekend for what seems like an eternity.

WE are READY Let the fun (HONEY ) begin. Ray n Joy
-
Will start planning the weekend in detail soon. Do you think you’ll need something to travel from Sydney?
-
A reliable vehicle ,
Bfit
-
Thats easy Bfit - either get a good mechanic or buy a Mustang.
I probably should not say that, since with some irony I'll most likely end up coming in the later, even if I have to crawl, I'll be there.
-
Don't worry Uncle Doug you can park near ME
-
I can send big red as a recovery vehicle if required.
-
If Ian was to come along, and with others in shopping trollies, this run will look more like a Mustang Club run.
Oh ! BFIT you are coming to this Port (This) weekend - aren't you ?.
-
I don’t know . Vettech.
A new premier has made the decision or been persuaded to open up NSW. Against the advice that has been quoted by the previous premier and also the prime minister of australia.
The advice has been that we open up when the vaccination of THE ELIGIBLE population gets to 80% , now that is not the case, is it. There are areas of NSW that are at the 40%-50% rate at this stage.
What is the reason to open up when that 80% has not been achieved?
Is this an economic decision, or is the premier putting his faith in an overwhelmed hospital system.
There is ambiguity in the statements put forward by the government the last few days. Hopefully they will clarify things this coming week,
Covid is not predictable! The next four weeks will give a good indication of the veracity of the decision handed down by the NSW government, In open up the state, starting tomorrow.

:hi: Yes we as Sydney are open and can travel to Gosford, Shell Harbour, Wollongong and anywhere in Metro Sydney so long as we are double vaccinated. Regional NSW is still closed to us until we hit the 80% NSW Double shot
We still need regional travel permits for work to go beyond that. :therethere:

URGENT UPDATE
Please be advised that the Gov'ts latest rules have closed Oct as a viable date for Port.
Unfortunately some of us have only one option and that is for the next weekend. Both the Smiths & Fords have moved our booking to the following weekend, which there are vacancies at this time.
I understand that Jaggers may have other engagements, therefore, may not be able to join us, this is unfortunate. But most would agree we need to get out and about, besides if the opening causes a spread in Covid, then we could see further lockdowns late Nov thru Dec and even the new year - heaven forbid.
I suppose you could accuse me of being selfish, but we have been hanging out for this weekend for months, and if only four attend, I have no issue, of course the more the merrier, besides Ray will need help doing the drinks and hors'dourves (he's getting oldish).
So please consider what your personal requirements are, and let Mandy know.
There could be two weekends - food for thought.
-
LATE FINAL EXTRA
Jaggers has just notified us that he is now available for the 5-7 weekend
Thank you Riccardo.
Thats 6 of us - all welcome...........
-
The itinerary is almost set, the weather forecast looks showery so we may do a couple of short cruises.
Travel safe on your way here.
-
Thanks jagsi ..Drinks by the pool would be very relaxing and easy to take !!!! Ray
-
Unfortunately we will be in the Mustang.
That way I can get the zimmer frame in the car, besides the Vett has no drivers seat, centre console or centre dash.
But can't wait to get away, and as MY081 says, even if we have to take up residence at the pool c/w a icy cool Marguerita, then so be it, I'll just have to suffer ...... P.S MY081 you do know how to make them, I hope.......
I'm also looking forward to a nice piece of fish, th8n crispy batter, lemon, WHITE pepper, salt and some nice chips, mouths watering already.
-
Uncle Doug !! can't make a Marguerita BUT i can order one from the bar as good as anyone !! As for the fish n chips Im with you on that. But will it be as good as Ulladulla ??????
-
Unfortunately we will be in the Mustang.
That should be a bumper sticker.

That sounds excellent Riccardo.
As for GTC, your comments are like "water off a Doug's back".
Thank your lucky stars that my chauffeur is not on this Forum or "she who must be obeyed" would make life misserable for you.
She loves her Mustang Convertible.

That quacks me up.
-
Haven't you got work to do.....
Oh! and P.S - I should have a Run Number/s for Port by this evening to cover either individual days or the entire weekend, for those of you driving "H" plate cars.
-
I thought Mustang drivers would be saying neeeeeeigh to this type of horse play!
-
A huge thank you to jagsy and Mandy. What a top weekend, lot of fun. After lock down it was just great to catch up and let our hair down. Ray n Joy
-
Yes Ray we (the boss & I ) whole heartedly concur.
We had a great time, with a dash of rain in the evenings, fine days, not too hot.
Good crew even though some did not eat much.!!.
Special shout out to Joy :drag:
Nice runs coupled to good eating venues.
However some individuals need special watching to ensure their meals are in the CORRECT order.
Well done all concerned . :hi:
-
Thanks gents, looking forward to to the next catch up
