Absolutely gorgeous and very rare this "chrome bumper"LS 5 Corvette Roadster represents the high point in performance for the C3. This particular car still retains its original driveline incl.numbers matching engine block and G/box. Internally though there are some nice performance improvements incl. 500c.i. Crank with H beam rods and forged pistons + a nice performance cam that gives this car a note that is just music to your ears!
The original white exterior is very clean and straight with a nice shine and only the odd little stone chip here and there to speak of.On the inside the Bright Red leather trim is just stunning and as new throughout as the entire interior has been restored and looks amazing.
The car also features extensive suspension upgrades including C4 style front suspension upgrade kit and Bilstein Shocks around + box section front control arms and upgraded rear suspension components incl? new neoprene bushes throughout.
I do have a copy of the original window sticker for this car and the car is listed on the US NCRS registery. It is believed to be a "1 of 1"car as having factory A/C in a Big Block Roadster with manual trans and manual windows makes this a truly rare vehicle.

Thanks Camo, thats good news for all C3 owners selling or thinking of selling their Corvettes... it was a very rare car, that makes a big difference... i suppose its more affordable than $110K for a 69 Tri Power or $90K  whats being asked of a NCRS Blue 72 Big Block at the moment in QLD

Apparently car ads are done one month before the mag comes out & Just Cars put the ads on their website, not the seller.  I believe there are some cars that have been sold for over a year or two that are still listed on the Just Cars site

There's not a lot of difference in technology from 65 to 82 (except wider wheels, EGR and "missfire injection")   :huh:

O yea i forgot plastic rear spring, thiner and lighter glass, larger half shafts, alloy diff carrier, larger luggage area, cornering light, cruise control, better seats.Just off the top of my head .

And there was major techo injections.
Like disc brakes and BB engine in 65

lower compression yes that allowed for the owner to fit his own blower  or turbo
the early 70s were the times when  hotrodders  lead the way,
  So GM  worked with the goverment and  the custom industry to  present a product  that would suit  both the hot  rodding fan  and fit in with governmental pressures.

it also promoted  employment  in the custom industry.
thats why GM  was way ahead of  ford and mopar

FJ  Holden  or a VK chev ( Vk  they are principal a chevy car )
the FJ has charisma nostalgic appeal  and fitted with a 350 and  4 speed
it will scare the shirt of most people.
and the pants of some girls.
Oh then there is EH or HR  ohhhh  with a Big block Muncie and 9" rear, 9 inches.
 NOW we are talking about  real hotrods. 10 second street cars
 
I can't say that about a VK, all dolled up with dressy wheels and no muffler

65-82 shared the same chassis (dimensions) same brakes, same steering, same suspension, same engine blocks, gearboxes
(BW then Muncie, then BW again) same diff (till 1980)

Try driving an Fj or an Eh with a 350 Chev that does 10s on the quarter daily, or even beta from Sydney to Melbourne . lol

All good anychev, I know that a lot of the parts were carried over.  Hey my C4 shares generally the same chassis with the C3, with some minor mods to accommodate the body above. Corvettes were renown for doing that...

Mate the HR in that post is a very brief description of my car.
 owned 67 to 85 
it had a SB in 69 and BB in 70.
  drove it to work every day and track every time I had the chance.

It went  127 at Castlereagh  ( that MPH in the early 70s )

Common Camo, i have seen six cylinders with just bolt ons producing well over a thousand Hp. . You cannot beat technology.

Bfit, its not because Holden did that with the Vl Commodores as well. . The Japs just built stronger motors. .

Don't get me wrong guys, im a chev man, and have been since i was 17. , nothing says vavoohm like a v8 squealing its head off. .tho i have to admit, i keep my feet planted in both camps as i drive a European 4 Cylinder. . Which is no slouch !!. . But i would rather drive  C6 Zo6 every day if i could.

Kerosene burners  yes they do run hard
But not for long, they have been around since the late 60s
And  they stile don't have that sound about them, That make you think I could run one of those.
Oh and they are two stoke in a fashion
Really they don't stroke at all that just circulate.
No rotation mass to stop and change direction  that is a tech advance  I guess.


I can't see any one pulling up an asking a girl if she wants a ride in a  car that  sound like a bee hive on streroids
But you never know.

I don't think we are to far from that
Working expedentially we have arrived at a common place.
