Title: C6 evaporative emission control system vent valve
Post by: jagsy on March 25, 2019, 04:54:18 PM
FYI
Had a engine code pop up over the weekend P0449 DTC which means that the evaporative emission control system vent valve could have failed.

Seems to be a common failure.

Ordered part (and additional wiring harness for new part!) so will see when it arrives.

I read the valve only operates at cold engine start up cycle and I can clear code once engine is warm.

Jagsy
Check your fuel cap is working correctly.
If you have a spare swap it over

Ps Bfit, is there a way to test if fuel cap is working properly if I don’t have a spare?
