Now that the government has decided in it's infinite wisdom to make not having a front plate displayed an offense that carries points with it I better get around to putting one on my car.
It is fairly straightforward but was wondering if any of you guys out there have pics of how you did it to save me reinventing the wheel.
Because of my cold air setup I don't want to & can't use the factory number plate mounting location and was going to mount it somewhere just above the front spoiler.
Ideas? Pics?

Post some pics of the front of yours for us non C4 owners.

I have used two carpenter's galvinised "L" brackets which attach to the standard front lower spoiler mounts and the bottom outer number plate holes. Neither the car nor the plate had to be modified but the holes in the brackets had to be enlarged.
Don't know how it will work with NSW plates but as long as the top of the plate doesn't interupt airflow over the (painted) deflector, you shouldn't have any cooling problems.
I can post more detailed pics in the next few days if required but this front shot may give you the idea.

a quick update on the mighty 85 ;the new motor will go in hopefully next week and with a few little inprovements to the old 383 it may pump out a few more horses and last more than one drag meet.

Thanks guys.
I am going to look at the L bracket option tonight - that is pretty much what I was thinking but to use the factory holes I will probably have to trim the bracket a little for appearance sake because I have the shorter 5 character NSW number plates.
IF I manage to make reasonable progress before Sunday and it looks presentable I'll post pics...

thats probably your best option VO
