Well guys and girls. She's got no windows, no seats, no hood and wiring hanging out the front but she's finally running.
1st test run in the factory complex car park today.

VERY NICE! Nothing like firing a fresh engine up for the first time, running the cam in and FINALLY putting her in gear and driving her. Great to see you organised for pics to be taken too! Bet you are more keen than EVER now!;););)
She looks AWESOME too, and those polished mufflers look great!

Never heard that one. God I'm getting old....er.
And yeah I was tempted. [ Don't think the new motor would like it though. ]

Congrats Cam! I bet your cravings to get her out on the road are far worse now that you have had a taste of driving her around the factory complex.
Can't wait to see it in person. Good luck with everything - you are certainly putting alot of effort and thought into what you are doing. (http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/red_90//coolthum.gif)

Great progress Cam. Keep that forward momentum going.

Thankyou lads.
Wanted to clean the rear chassi rails, so bugger it, I pulled out the fuel tank and guard etc . Cleaned up the whole area in there, painted the tank guard and stone guared that whole area. God that stuff gets every where. Looks great. Now to clean the fuel tank out while its out, put it all back in,. then across the car park to the panel shop to have rubber seals, locks, window mechs etc put back in.
When will it end?. I know NEVER. ;39

Make sure your fuel sender is in good condition while you are at it... mine is playing up and ecklers want US$165 for one;30
-
Yeah I know. Expensive little suckers. I was thinking of changing it no matter what while it's out. Going to talk to Ecklers tonight to see how quick I can get one over here.
I had the mufflers off to take the tank, etc out. Couldn't resist to fire her up with them off. Video was handy of course. Can really here the cam with them off. Hope to upload it to DC tonight so I can post it.

The 77 unit is a little dearer. $187.89US with discount [normally $235]. Just ordered it. Fedexing it so hopefully I have it quick smart.

Looks like i'll have to bite the bullet too... no other option eh.
-
What year is your car Tippa?
-
It's a '78. Just checked Eckler's online and they want US$159.99 plus US$9.99 for a strainer.
So with our discount would be US$136 incl strainer, so around AU$190+shipping.

Shipping for my unit is $50 US. Is your unit like my one, includes that top plate as in the picture I posted? If not it may be cheaper freight.
