You know that only the centre of the centre hub cap is what is chromed?  The rest is stainless steel including the dress rim.

The chrome centre of the hub cap unbolts from the stainless steel section.  Well on my ones at least.

Just in case you didn't know.

al metal bumpers..if that is the one on malta street villawood,it is now called aston metal finishers...if so.a word of advice, they do a top job...they are expensive.....and they take a ridicullouse amount of time with no apoligy....i have been burnt twice from them and they will never get any work from me ever again....when i asked for a discount for the 3 to 4 months it took to chrome my rear bumpers the manager said would you like a discount on your quality...my interpretation is smartarse.....;49;49

I restored a 49 Triumph bike that needed a chrome petrol tank. to cut a long story short. I bought a tank that cost a lot money, gave it to them, they dinted it, it took nearly 12 months to get it backand you could still see  the dint what realy got me, they still charged me full price. This was about 4 years ago, they may have changed? But I wouldn't give them a bolt to chrome.

hi Cam,

Heavy duty Vinyl stripes...installed them with some soapy water (soap and water makes vinyl very flexible and it takes about an hour to dry)... there are 40 stripes on each hub cap

Good one Joe.

If you can do it in step by step form like MADLT1 did with the mirror thread, including pics if possible that would be great.

Put it in the appropriate tech tips section.  Once it's up I'll can this thread then redo the format of the new thread and save it ready for the new Tech Torque section.
