I want to install a disable switch for the overdrive on the 4+3 Doug Nash in my '86. Car is all factory stock and OD works as it was intended.
I would like to have a switch that disables all the silly factory functions and just be able to engage it when on the highway.
The guys on the US forum say that you can re-program the ECU to stop the factory silliness.
Does anyone know someone in Australia that could do this?

Hi Peter this maybe what your looking for , check out Ecklers Corvette Cags Skip Plug Seal Part number 22712 $13 . Ray

Unfortunately that part number is for 89-95 with 6 speed. It has been badly labelled by Ecklers.
I couldn't find one for the 4+3
I have no idea what CAGS is?
Would be nice if someone did a ready made fix for this.

Computer Aided Gear Selection

I guess that it the light on the dash that tells me when I need to change gear?
Does anyone use that?

when you find someone, I received a call from a vette owner in SA looking for some help with the ECM in a 2005 C6.

Give Steve Rosenfels a call. He does ECU reprogramming on a range of engines for tuning purposes and he may be able to assist with yours.
