Shade from the Australian sun at Sydney Dragway
« on: November 08, 2013, 02:51:47 PM »
"To the delight – and relief – of many drag racing fans Sydney Dragway has tackled the shade problem by providing shade over the main grandstand at the venue.

After several weeks of construction and trying to fight the heat and windy conditions to have the structure completed by the Australian Nationals, Sydney Dragway’s shade sails are ready to provide some much needed shelter to its patrons.
CEO of the venue, Graham Elliot stated. “The shade is a well-deserved feature for our guests and will encourage more fans to Sydney Dragway to enjoy the events in a much more comfortable environment.

With over 4000 seats now under cover and most of the venue’s events taking place during the day, mums and dads are now able to bring the kids assured they need not sit in the baking sun.
Of course we still encourage everyone to slip, slop, slap, but now we also invite them to sit under the shade as well."
