Nope.

The second in charge of General Motors, Tim Lee, who is the head of the company’s international operations, hit out at reports of a right-hand-drive Corvette for Australia, exclusively revealed by News Limited yesterday.

He told reporters at the Detroit motor show overnight: “I have no idea what [General Motors CEO Dan Akerson] said but we have no plan to put a right-hand-drive under that bonnet. The Corvette is a Chevrolet, it’s not a Holden, it never will be, next question.”

...

“We can spend the entire 20 minutes talking about this. This is a non-story from my point of view. You can write what you want to write, I really don’t give a sh#t. But it is not in the mainstream plan.”

With every new generation of corvette, comes the inevitable rumours and specultion of a RHD version
There's no such thing (and never will be) a "factory RHD corvette"

"He said the new Corvette would be sold in the UK and Japan – both right-hand-drive markets – but be shipped as left-hand-drive models because it is legal to drive them in those countries"

So why would they bother, just to please us !

Regardless of what is written I won't even contemplate a factory right hand drive Corvette until I have one standing in front of me on Aussie soil.  I've been reading stories about this since I was a kid and it has never been more than wishful thinking and wishful reporting.

Even if GM thought the RHD markets dictated the cost in designing and tooling up for such a small number of cars in their scheme of things, they would then have to consider the effect releasing the Corvette would have on the Aussie market.  Personally, I think it would decimate HSV and Holden's V8 car business and for that reason alone we will never see a RHD Corvette endorsed by GM.

Well you guys need to send a representative off to the motor council meetings as we do
and plead your case and plead and plead again that you want a NEW left hand corvette on our roads and not necessary 30 yr old has beens. I'm sure with the right approach and marketing that may be a possibility with conditions those motor council folk dictate and advise the rta/rms on all car matters otherwise we will never catch up to the UK,
5to10 new righthand drive corvettes for Australia  never!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you, however good luck with that suggestion.

GM will never build a right hand drive Corvette, it is not on their books due to the cost & very minimal market.  Nothing has changed on that part since I was involved with GMH in Australia

.. or go the way of Samoa and change our roads to LHD.

I guess it saves our local car industry to stay RHD but now they're slowly shutting down shop.

There is infact a greater population across the world that drive right hand drive, trouble is the majority is developing countries with no wealth for nice cars.

GM did build a RHD corvette for Australia in 1963.  Unfortunately for Australian Corvette owners and enthusiasts this car made its way back to the USA last year. see http://www.proteam-corvette.com/Corvette-1963-NSN-TRI/NSN-TRI.html

I don't think there was any real evidence that car was actually built by GM RHD
