Jethro:
Gear box reassembled, new bearing, seals, shifter leveres, shifter input shafts and housing

P.S. just as well I got a new bell housing.... not only did it have a hole in it from where clutch assy must have let go some time back on further inspection it had cracks in 3 different places:sulk::sulk:

Mate I know I am  most likely preaching to the wise here
But make sure those linkages are adjusted before the box is back in the car.

A pain the the rear  to adjust after   that box is fitted.

Can I make a suggestion  here
Before fitting the box,  get an adjustable pivot ball
Mcleod   do one PN 16908

You can get the  through out fork in the best position.
for maximum clearance. ( from the body at full release position   )

Jeff has an aftermarket shifter in his car is easy to adjust because when I fixed the trans tunnel for him I allowed for a small window in the side, made him a key to line up shifter gates in nuetral. Then it is simply a case of  adjusting the linkage to slide onto shafts on box

bfit:
It looks like a hurst. Shifter
Not very original lol:huh:

The genuine corvette set up mounted on the crossmember is not a great idea

Finally :bannana::bannana: pistons arrived last week and block was therefore able to be machined to suit. Not bad only .0005" variance between all 8 pistons
