I do like the wheels
A lot of the later C3`s for sale in Aus , with asking prices way more than this one are no better in condition.
May be the asking price on this is some where near realistic.
A photo may be worth a 1000 words but it can hide a 1000 problems
One would need to have a good look over any car you are interested in.

Hi Guys, thanks for the comments. yes the car does need a bit of tidying up, hence the low start price. Recommend an inspection and test drive before bidding. Have talked to a few guys in our club who have paid around $20,000.00 for something that ended up being not much better than this. Good luck.

We all know that buying the car is only part of the cost involved
After purchase you will need
Lights and wiring set up to Australian standards about $2000.00
Seat belts changed $300.00 to $400.00 fitted yourself
In the old system engineers report post 72 model $1200.00 to $2000.00
Weight bridge certificate
Blue slip $128.00
You may need to fit new tires for ADR reasons $ ?
Depending on the vehicle you may need to fit a Speedo that reads in km/h $ ?
Anything thing else you find needing doing,
You will spend some where around $5k to $7k and may be more.
Then there is the time frame and what dollar value is that rated at
And off course there is the rego its self
Putting an imported car on the road will eat up considerable time and money
after going through this myself a few times
I firmly believe that buying a registered car in the state you live in , would be a better way to go .
They are out there at prices from $ 17500.00 up
A registered car makes sense ( to Me ) especially if you can not or do not want to do the required work you self.
And remember a 30 plus year old car will require work
Imported or with rego It will need work.
If you buy a car that needs considerable work out side the basic then you will need considerable funding and time.
Most of you who may read this will already know these pit falls
I write this for those who are contemplating getting into a corvette.
The Queensland club has a good article on this subject worth reading
I purchased a car that is similar to the one above here in NSW last year at a similar cost
I did all of the above and more .
With no regrets
I have to say we enjoy the ride
In the end its not really all about the money.
