Indeed, Perrenti kit car's were built on a Holden utility or One-Tonne chassis, and also carried over all the Holden running gear.

what was the cost of a similar style C3 corvette in those times to buy and ship to Oz?

One of our members had a nickname "Perrenti Bill", but I would hazzard a guess he no longer has one.

I think Perrenti Bill ended up with a White C4 .The Perrenti had a HQ chassis from memory .

Someone here may better answer that question but in those days American pony cars were scarce on the ground here; they all had to be converted to RHD too.
