Historic footage - Driving through Iowa in 1960

The Iowa Highway Commission made this film in 1960 to promote the urgency of rebuilding Iowa's highways.

Plenty of scope for "name that car" and note the number of gas stations, with gas being 28 or 29 cents a gallon.

Isnt it funny - thats how our roads are today! so we are 50 years behind the US!!!!!

IIRC, the last time some serious public money was spent on NSW roads was the Bicentennial Project in 1988.
