replacing hand brake handle

hi all, any tips on replacing a 69 hand brake handle? looks to have at base one steel pin. Is this just tapped out? any feed back on proper percedure would be appreciated . regards murray

It  looks like a roll pin
I have not  looked at manual as get
But I would make a puller  
 if that hole  goes rite through
get a bolt that fits  that you can  slide a piece of pipe over
YOU will need some washers  
 and a nut on the other end and tighten slowly and see if it moves
NO hammers    if possibly
be back to you on this

I have a 69  I will be working on tonight I may be able to help tomorrow

72vet, thanks for that. exactly what im after. I didnt have any info in either the AIM or service manual i have. Where was that info found? thanks again regards Murray:beer:

I purchased a new brake handle from Corvette Central and it came with the diagram.

Have a look at their Tec section http://tech.corvettecentral.com/   interesting articles in it

72`s post is excellent

The service manual I have  shows Zip
the replace  park  brake cable  is very basic
above is  the sort of thing the manuals should show
