If anyone is out and about and they come across " liquid EBONY" Black polish could they please let me know?

i us auto glym as well and u wont get better if u had seen my dads blue vet how well that use to come out it looked great and it works really well i use it on the camaro and its white and gives it a really nice shine well worth a try

nope its not black BUT it is the best polish you will ever use on your car
best place to buy it in the gong is B&L supplies at unanderra

I've seen this Auto Glym around but haven't tried it yet. Thanks for the recommendation y'all. i mainly stick to Meguiar's products and gave my vette a once over with their Deep Crystal Wet-Look Polymer Sealant for the Bella Vista show. Was pretty impressed with it. Is Auto Glym a cutting polish or is it ok for 2pak?:22

u can bye a cutting compound as well but i just use the polish its no prob on 2 pack

Auto Glym is the pommy version of Meguires a lot of concourse car show owners use it on their Jags, Rollers, Aston Martins etc. But a good one is Meguires NXT TECH WAY. You will always get a better finish if you polish on by machine. If you are not sure which one is the best, mix Meguires and Auto Glym together. I have.

might try it next time then ;-) i've got an electric buffer but haven't been game using it on the vette yet ;mmm worried i'll burn the paint (its one of those 11" makita angle grinder lookin' ones) do you use a wool or foam pad? :}

a makita angle grinder is not a buff machine, check the revs, buff machine is about 2000 revs, a polish buff is better at around 1200-1500 revs. I dont have one of this brand but Bunnings have 6 speed variable speed buff sanding machines at about 78 or 98 bucks gmc brand. I use a short wool pad.

No worries stingray, thanks 4 info. Mine is a buff, it just looks like a big angle grinder thats all! ;35 Just mentioned that as i've seen different type that has two rotating heads side by side. Used mine on other cars with acrylic but not on 2pak. Always used wool pads but since have seen foam ones and hear they are to go these days ;-)

Yes foam pads are the go, as when you buy polish packed in a box they have foam applicators. foam buff pads are up to $35 -$40

You guys shd be asking Brutus;i think he is the world champion polisher....thunderkiss isn't too shabby either in the polishing department......me,there is no point polishing my beautiful dark brown vette because even though i love it,it will never win anything......unless we have a restricted trophy class,ie.best looking dark brown 74 class,so long as i'm the onlt enrty i must be some chance of winning...john:P

Seriously, I've only polished my car twice in the 7 years I've owned it! Before I bought the car it was resprayed in Glasurit 2 pack and it comes up pretty shiney after just a wash and chamois.
