« on: March 31, 2011, 05:54:32 PM »

Corvette racing enthusiasts, mark your calendars: August 18-21 2011 will be the ultimate celebration of competition Corvettes. A joint venture between Road America and Corvette Racing to celebrate Chevrolet’s 100th anniversary will bring out all the stars and cars that have made Corvettes some of the winningest cars in racing history. There will be noteworthy displays and presentations, a car corral, Corvette-specialty vendors and autograph sessions with some of the most famous Corvette drivers of all time, such as John Fitch, Dick Guldstrand, John Heinricy, Reeves Callaway, Ron Fellows and Tony DeLorenzo, among others. And the ALMS GT2 ZR1 Corvette racing team cars will be there, along with many of the most significant Corvette race cars ever built, including Dale Earnhardt’s Daytona C5, the 1968 SunRay DXL88, 1963 Grady Davis Z06 Sebring fuelie coupe, several noteworthy solid-axle race cars, and the 1986 Callaway Supernatural Le Mans car. This is a once-in-a-lifetime Corvette event that is not to be missed. To learn more, visit www.registryofcorvetteracecars.com
