I've never found a rim over here that'll fit.

Are you looking for wheels the same size or are you looking to go up to say 17's or18's.
Not sure what local ones would be ok though but heaps available in the US.
If you dont want to do any mods to your trailing arms (e-Brake brackets) then you can go with -
15, 16, 17 or 18 x 8" with a 4" backspace and 5 x 4.75".
Standard a C3 corvettes tyre height is about 27". so use a site like below to get the tyres the correct overall rolling diameter.

I have 18" x 8" coy C5's all round with 245/45/18 front and 255/45/18 rear on my 71.

How does yours go with 18's? They look good!

I was a bit concerned re going from 15 to 18 it would get more harsh but it rides great, very smooth.
The previous set was Michelen 215/70/15's white stripe tyres (almost new) but the 18's almost seem to give a smoother ride, possibly because they are wider and spreading the impact of any road undulations.
No rubbing on lock at all.
Am considering lowering the car 1 more inch front and rear so it may get a bit closer then.
