Ladies and Gentlemen grab your diaries!

Our annual major event, The Totally Home Bella Vista Show and Shine, will be held on Sunday 20th March 2011. The tenth anniversary of this event promises to be bigger and better than ever. As with last year, entries are open to non-club members as well, and we have had expressions of interest from our Corvette club counterparts in Victoria, Queensland and Canberra.

The management of the Totally Home Bella Vista Shopping Complex has welcomed our return, and happily admit that the drawing power of our unique cars results in their best trading day of the year. The Centre will be working with us to ensure that Bella Vista 2011 is the best yet. It is not surprising then, that the Centre has not only offered their $1,000 Centre shopping voucher for their management’s choice award, but will be also awarding a lucky customer’s $500 choice, and a further $500 for a lucky merchant’s choice. The Centre has also provided us with additional parking and display area, to cater for the expected extra entries and displays. In addition to prior promotion of the show on 106.5FM, and in the local Hills area press, the Centre will be seeking coverage in the Blacktown area local newspaper, which will get us exposure in a large automotive catchment area.

Our club charity, Learning Links, will also receive additional support apart from the $10 entry fees, with the Centre conducting a gold coin collection on the day.

This event has proved to be a great family outing in the past, as well as being well attended by car enthusiasts, so all of the usual entertainment will be on offer including 106.5FM broadcasting on location, jumping castle, face painting, BBQ, raffles and store prizes. A kids’ petting zoo is planned, along with a display and advice tent set up by Mothers Car Care products. Mothers will be attending our February general meeting to provide all the pre-show advice you need to prepare your pride and joy for the big occasion, and you will have the opportunity to purchase your product requirements at preferential prices to be delivered at the March meeting, just in time for your preparations for the show. Your committee will be working to bring you a few other initiatives, as well as endeavouring to have Morris Sammut return with his awesome C2 drag car.

For the first time, we have secured additional sponsorship for Bella Vista. Apart from the major contributions every year from the Totally Home Bella Vista management and their many merchants, the motor vehicle insurance specialist, Lumley Special Vehicles, has come on board as a significant sponsor for 2011 and 2012, to share in the success of our show. Lumley’s sponsorship will ensure that entrants’ efforts are adequately rewarded, and allow us to bring you further sponsored colour spreads of photographs in our club magazine.

As usual, your committee will be on site from 7.30am, and all cars must be parked by 9.00am. Cars may be released from the site around 3.00pm.

Your assistance with early entries will help us with the logistics for the day including acquisition of sufficient area, shirts and trophies. A link to the entry form is provided in this thread, as is a link to category descriptions to assist with your cars classification. A further entry form will be included in the December edition of your club magazine.

We will still take entries for the show up till 09.00 am on the day to be a part of the Corvette display, with payment of the $10 entry fee going to charity, but unfortunately entries to be judged in the show and shine have closed. We could not leave these judged entries open indefinitely as we have to pre-order trophies specifically for classes entered. this has always been the case.

To all entrants: Don't forget to complete your Lumleys' form on the day and hand it in to the committee table, to obtain a no obligation insurance quote for your pride and joy. One lucky entrant will win a $250 Coles voucher for the few minutes taken to lodge the form!!

Tomorrow is forecast to be a much better day, with scattered showers. They've been wrong once or twice before!! :club:

If Inclement weather persists, we will position the Corvettes on the undercover areas of pavement immediately outside the stores.

Keep your fingers crossed, and hope the Corvette weather gods are in a good mood!!:drag:

Remember all cars must be in by 09.00am and cannot leave before the end of the show presentation at 3.00pm.:tapping:

On arrival, please locate the club registration table, and confirm your entry and attendance, and collect your show bags.

Congratulations NSW Corvettes for putting on a great show to the public today at Bella Vista.
Forty three 'Vette owners braved this mornings torrential rain with a high quality display of show-prepared Corvettes. The standard never ceases to amaze me, as it seems to improve each year.
If you watched this evenings news you would appreciate just how heavy this morning's rain actually was, and those who attended have to be given a big thank you for braving the elements. As the day progressed, the weather improved somewhat, and those who made the effort enjoyed a great day. The promotion of the event by Totally Home Bella Vista's management seemed to have been better targetted this year, with the customer car park areas filled all day. As our 'Vettes were displayed under cover in front of the stores, more room was made available for public parking, and to the delight of the Centre's management, the public kept coming all day.
Totally Home Bella Vista want us back and will work in with whatever and whenever we want!!
Again a big thank you to all participants and your hard working committee for a job well done.
