A couple of my wheels are getting a bit like me "tired and well used":rol:
I like to get the full set rechromed but finding it difficult to locate someone capable and willing to do them.
Anybody got some clues and or suggestions?
Many thanks.......:drag:

Electroplaters are becoming a rare species thanks to councils and their environmental controls.

I've seen first class work done by these guys:

Blu-Chrome Pty Ltd
137 Eldridge Rd
Bankstown NSW  2200
Phone: (02) 9790 6834

Note that you need to specify the level of quality you want. Top quality (and top price) includes underlay coats of copper and nickel plating to prevent rusting.

Many thanks, I will give them a call, but one of the main issues is that not many if any at all will tackle chrome on alloy.
Let you know the reply.

Regards:call:

The jobs I have seen from them are chromed steel, mainly on motorcycles. I don't know about alloy, so it will be interesting to hear how they respond.

I used a compnay in Adelaide called A Class Metal.

http://www.aclassmetal.com.au/index.php

They repaired and rechromed my set of 2001 Z06 wheels when some ?@$^%$* ran me off the road and damaged them.

The chrome job is better than new. They can also rechrome plastic.

Many thanks Z06, I tried Blu-Chrome and a couple of others in Melbourne as well but none of them can do chrome on alloy.
I will try your suggestion, my wheels are still reasonable and not damaged just a couple of them are starting to flake around the edge of the  rim closest to the tyre.

If the website is any indication they look to be the "goods", I will contact them today and let you know the outcome.
Thanks again...:ral:

Update as of today.
A Class seem to be a possability, where helpful on phone and I have sent photos of my wheels for them to view.
I would expect to hear back from them one way or another during the week as to price etc if its within their scope of work. But promising so far........

Hi Benandsally, GTC, many thanks. No feed back from Adelaide at this stage.
Villawood is not far from where I work so could be a better proposition to arrange if they can handle chrome on alloy.
Let you know the outcome.

Thanks again to all..
