69 seatbelt parts
« on: August 29, 2010, 12:34:09 PM »
Hi everyone!, im looking for a pair of chrome seatbelt guides which attach to top of seat under headrest for my 69 vette. The ones on now are a little roughed up and will end up fraying my belts, any suggestions most welcome.

If the chrome is peeling off what about media blasting them then paint them.

Hi  denthead

Can you explain a bit more about what is wrong with the ones you have.

Media Blasting is just sand blasting with a different media (eg garnet, glass etc)

ok the ones i have are generally just roughed up (bubbled up under chrome)> and constant friction between seatbelt are causing them to fray. On reflection i guess media blasting would fix the problem ,seems these parts are rear to find, ive searched most part sites in oz and US without much luck. If i cant buy new i"ll go the recon route. Thanks for your reply Craig always appreciate advice.

Let me know how you get on.

I have not tried media blasting on Chrome but may be worth a try....may need to be chemically removed possibly.

The part you are talking could be hard to find.
