I'm pretty sure that box is a strengthened T5. Keisler remanufacture them with stronger internals. (ie parts are not available from anyone but keisler)

I went with a TKO600 as they are a known product. I got a complete auto to manual conversion kit from Amercan powertrain, with a hydraulic clutch set-up. I'm just waiting for it to turn up. It's on a boat somewhere :)

When I was getting quotes from everyone, Keisler were always the most expensive.

I would love to see some photos when you get the thing fitted
I change clutch in one of my C3`s  a while back

It's a 73, with a lot of 80 model parts.

I started pulling the dash out tonight  to sort out a few things until the gearbox arrives.  I'll have to take some pics as I go and update the build thread.

I went for the 0.6x overdrive ratio.  I want the revs to drop right back on the highway.  I'll have to change the 3.08 diff for something much shorter for fast acceleration :drag:  No wonder it seemed sluggish with the T350.  The speedo swung around pretty quick thank to the huge torque of the 400sb, but the car didn't have that 'push' in the back.
