Hello Guys,

I would like to know whether anyone knows of a place, specialising in making automotive paint in sydney where i can get some touch up paint made up for my HSV Coupe 4? :huh:

I have gone to the local holden dealers to find that they only sell small spray cans of the factory paint, and not the pen type or the small pot normally sold in the past.

I've seen pen type in K-mart. If you can buy the factory paint in a spray can I'd jump on it.

Get some masking tape and tape around the area you need to touch up.

Tape all around the outside of the stone chip or whatever you're doing with masking tape or preferably blue tape (either will do) then continue off that with newspaper so you dont get overspray.

Give it a couple of bursts according to the flash tims on your can and peel back the paper and tape. Job done.

Some touch up spray cans need to be clear coated to get a gloss otherwise it'll look dull.
Make sure to ask about this also.

I need to touch up a mark under the center of the rear spoiler, as the previous owner allowed the securing nuts to come a bit loose, thus allowing the spoiler to move and mark the paint.. its not a real issue, but i like to hide this mark...

Id prefer the pen, as its less messier and wont have any overspray.

The optimal way to fix it take it to a panel shop, have the whole spoiler removed and properly sprayed and blended into the paint job.

I thought i would try the pen, and see how i go.

Buy a fine paint brush from an art/craft shop, spray the factory paint into the lid and touch up from there.

For small marks, I've seen Colour Magic used quite effectively.
