New to northern rivers. 88 wont Start. Need Help
northern-cruiser:
G'day all, I recently moved to the northern rivers region and dragged my 84' and 88's along with me, the 84 will run a blown 383 when completed and is currently about half way through the build although it has stalled a little recently, anyway my 88' is having some engine startup issues and yes I have replaced fuel pump, relays and oil pressure switch but I have now lost my patience with it and am looking for someone in the northern NSW area who can help me get this car back on track, any help would be appreciated, Cheers Jason

G'day, I am in Lismore, northern rivers region
nifty:
i was once told there are only 3 things that can go wrong with an engine....
if its got air, electrics and fuel it WILL start.... process of elimination.... check one at a time... if something is not right, that will be the problem.

Hi Jason,
Welcome to the forum, I am in a similar position to you as I also live a fair drive from a major city as well (Port Macquarie). I eventually found a great mechanic with many years experience with chev's, I did this buy just asking local car clubs in the same town (even if they owned a jag they are usually in the know of who to use if they did own a chev) if they knew anyone, I had a couple of misses but finally found someone I can really trust.
Good Luck, try a local car club.....
Mick
