I have had problems with the exhaust on my car from when I purchased it back in 04 with it bottoming out on rough roads, as they all do but mine was bad! finished up with having to raise the car (Bugger). It fixed the problem to a certain degree I suppose.

The flange at the bottom of headers was fabricated too low and the rest of the exhaust was hanging down as well.

To cut a long story short, the club magazine advertised Tuffy Mufflers, so I called in and spoke to David who also had a C3 B/Block till only recently.

Here’s the outcome.

2 ¼ inch S/Steel pipes, the system was made into 3 sections for easy access to the gear box or Diff, shortened header pipes for more road clearance, 2 hanging brackets. One on the gearbox cross member. I have a T700 fitted so the cross member had to be modified to suit the gearbox when it was fitted so the original bracket was tossed and never replaced. The other one is on the rear strut rod bracket.

The exhaust used to hang lower than the wheel carrier in places, that’s not a problem now.

Might even look at putting the old springs back in. ;35 ;35

There’s a few more HERE

Snug as a bug in a rug.

Is that you spare wheel carrier I see half ground away?  May be you should have had a stainless one of them made while you were there.  LOL!!

What's the note sound like?

I would say it’s more than halfway Cam, nothing that a bit of fiberglass won’t fix.

Might replace the 255 spare to give me more clearance or pay attention to speed humps.

The note is    CRISP

You better believe it.  Well done your getting the hang of it.

You going to be at Eastern Creek Nick?  I wouldn't mind having a look and listen, that's if I get there.

Was burning some oil.  Bad intake manifold gasket it turned out.  Grrrrr!

Plus picking Michelle up from airport from USA early Sunday morn.  Depends on how all that goes.
