Registering a C3 1976 in NSW
« on: April 07, 2008, 10:02:21 PM »
I have a 76 C3 I live in North West Sydney and want to get a blue slip done at a place that know's what they are doing. I want full rego and leaving it left hand drive.
I have swapped low beam head lights.  Rest of car is road worthy.
What about the orange front park lights?
What about the rear indicators be red?
Do I need to get engineers report?
Do I require a weigh bridge ticket?
Blue slip recomended location?
Any other tips are appreciated?

Hi Rob Silver 76:24

My suggestion is to contact the RTA and ask them for a list of places that do a blue slip. Choose the one that suits you.
Take your Corvette to them but do not let the Corvette get out of your sight.
Let the blue slip inspector give you a list of requirements as different inspectors have different ideas of what is required.
You are suppose to have both hi and low beam headlights replaced (all 4).
You are suppose to have amber front and rear indicators.
You are suppose to have clear front park lights.
The cigarrette lighter can only work with ignition on.
You are suppose to have Australian approved seat belts.
You are suppose to have "all" your pollution system on and working.
You may or maynot have to have mirrors on both doors
As for the engineers report that can go either way..
Hope this helps;42
