COST OF MIRROR CONVERSION C5 & C6

(1/2) > >>

daniel42au:
Does anyone know what is the current cost of converting a C5 and/or  C6 to RHD?

In 2004/2005 'ish', I polled a couple of RAWs and was quoted about $35,000.... noting that one of them seems to have gone broke.

Also at the time a C4 cost about $15,000 for a flat dash mirror (i.e. thats what my C4 cost) and $25,000 for a late C4 asymmetric dash mirror conversion.... at the time the extra $10,000 for the RAWS conversion was put down to the RAWS accreditation overheads.

Someone has subsequently suggested to me that the cost is now about $70,000.... which I found incredible to believe considering the task basically remains the same, but.... I want to confirm this....

...Since like most, I like to dream a little BUT with the facts.... as they can make dreams achievable.   :-)

Performax charges 49500 including GST for a c6

Wow.  When I looked into a conversion on a ZR1 a few years back I was quoted $26K and another "$6K or so" to allow for RAWS.  Mind you I am sure it would have blown out past that figure.

As for the $70K figure, that's quite something... ;40

Chromie:
;ayThe cost of a conversion on a C5 or C6 is $42,500.00 + G.S.T.
With the compliance plate. This means that all that is required after that is what the RTA require in your state, For example in NSW it would be a blue slip, green slip and what the RTA fee is
:luv

stingray:
I have been told that to convert a C5 in Melbourne is around $29,000.00
