Any pics of the wheels Mick?

How were they shipped, and if it's not too rude to ask, what's a ballpark figure on the cost of shipping?

I would definately recommend people to talk to him especialy after the problems I had with Wheelboys (Australia) who I had previously got a quote from. For anyone who dosent know they have now been bought out by someone from QLD who was most unhelpful and refused to honour the 2 month old email quote and told me it would be at least 6 weeks to get them if Im lucky (these wheels are a stock item in the USA).

So if anyone needs a price on wheels for thier C3 email Craig on  sales@radicalwheelsinc.com

Thanks and looking good for Panthers......(I hope)

Yes he ended up being cheaper than wheelboys as well !!!!!

They are sweet rims mick.....they will look awesome on your vette.  :v

Whats with FedEx charging you AU$250? I thought they can only charge you 10% gst/duty since the rims are made in the USA (American Racing).
but yeah, what can you do? if you want your package you gotta pay it.

anyway, stuff the money, its about the fun and enjoyment you will be getting from those rims!

Have you decided what tyres/sizes your going with?
If you have offset trailing arms you can go wider on the rear, but I guess you know all of this anyway.

jolinari these prices are not expensive! Thats what they cost these days! If anything they are cheap! You cannot find cheaper wheels of this quality! I'm sure you can find cheaper 'made in Taiwan' wheels, but they look crap and wont last! I can almost guarentee that your wheels if bought new would come close to micks price and yours are only 15in diameter! My wheels were $2800US !!!!!! (no that doesnt include tyres!) But they are bigger in size than micks!

Be careful with tyre sizes, I have read heaps re tyre fitment. What sort of flares do you have, do you mean the factory flares fitted to all 70 and later C3's, or do you mean fatter aftermarket type flares?

What backspacing  do the wheels you ordered have?  For 8" wide rims the normal backspacing for a vette is 4", you can go more backspacingand have the rims stick out but this can put unwanted loads on the rear wheel bearing.

The three things that may be a problem if you are running 295's on 4" backspaced rims on the rear of a C3 are:
1. The handbrake cables and brackets, this problem can be aleviated by relocating the handbrake cable or just using zip ties to hold them back.

2. The trailing arms might interfere, you will need 'offset' trailing arms that are available from several suppliers in the U.S. these just have a bit more of a kick in them and will clear fat tyres.

3. The transverse leaf spring, this can also interfere with the rim/tyre, there are a couple of ways to fix this problem. The cheapest is to get longer adjusting bolts and just wind the spring down more, these may or may not get you enough clearance. Otherwise you will need a shortened rear leaf spring, a spring place here may do it for you, otherwise there are a few suppliers of custom made short springs in the U.S.

Let us know how you go, and post pics!

What size tyres are you going on the front.

Cheers,
Cosmic
