I'll dig up the story when I have time but it turns out the car isn't a demonstrator.  Apparently if you look you can see permits and/or stickers inside the front windscreen.

I call dibs on the LS7. ;46

Okay VO..  to save ya the time... lets drop the word "DEMO" and change "ONE ONLY" to "UNIQUE" .... :-)

but at the end of the day some Twit wrote off a Work of Art... and to the relief of the salesman after he/she had signed the papers.
