... out of interest.. of the WIDER Corvette community.. if you have a part.. a corvette specific part.. that you need that is NOT produced / reproduced currently .. you may like to let us know & review the possibilities of its reproduction.... and in turn help others too.

As some may know on this forum.. I once kept people up to date with inside information of what was just discontinued in the Corvette supply from GM.. this was rare imformation... it this was not something Ecklers or Corvette Central etc would ever supply but an advantage we have and an attempt to openly help OUR Australian owners & restorers.

For those that do not know.. currently we supply from our Australian based business 80 specific high quality parts for US GM vehicles .. mainly Camaro / Firebird / mixed Pontiac related.. from 1964 thru to 1993 would be about the latest part. All are PERFECT duplicates of original parts.. like grilles, park lamps with all correct #'s and GM marking, emblems particularly perfect .. of Gold Points standard... .. water pump plates for pontiac in stainless steel (and australian original)..

Shortly we will be releasing PERFECT electric window switches that are used on some later 70's GM vehicles including Corvettes.. again PERFECT... at about 1/2 what most US resellers/companies have to sell the current stocks at.
Last month Ponti-world (www.USGMSP.com) - after a year of negotiating with US GM... was awarded over 40 GM US Licenses for the reproduction of certain Camaro parts. This brings the total Licenses now to over 120....

Anyway if interested.. for the wider Corvette community...  if you have a part or constructive restoration requirement..... let people know.

... thanks 77CVT....
... .. Corvettes by comparison to so many other Muscle and Sport cars ... are limited build as we know.. .. and that works FOR and Against any lower volumne marque but there are parts needed  & I dont' think really we need to just rely on Americans to do all the production thinking for us - we can get things off the ground well with effort .. and distance to market does not really deter the end result ...  although legally there's a bloody big bit of a minefield to go thru to produce & obtain GMRP approval, with NO guarentee of financial success...with or without original tooling.

Recently one vendor I'm in touch with tracked down original press's & dyes for both front fenders for a specific US GM muscle car.. located in an old press/machinery storage facility in a Detroit suburb.     IT took two years to find & gain GM's legal approval.  Those same fenders are now on the US market but cost around 4 times the US cost of a repro.. but worth it to many... as Im sure many of you would appreciate.. especially those now trying to get hold of say Excellent 84-89 era Corvette Nose skins.. or may in the future....

Anyway.. that's enough.. just thought it was a constructive subject matter.
