RJ, it's all in the owners manual.
I can't help with '84, but here's two pics from my '86 manual:

Thunder, If I had an Owners Manual I would not be posting suck a silly question.

The "Haynes Manual" Tells me NOTHING.

I am looking for the fuse that would supply power to the Windscreen Washer bottle. I am getting no power to the bottle.

Wipers work, just no power to the water pump for the washers.

Not knowing C4's I would have it at a guess that either (A) faulty switch or (B) thereis a relay in the system not pulling in or (C) broken wire.

How do ya know there is now power?  Have you checked with a multimeter or just assuming there is now power because it does not come on?

A huge thank you needs to go out to 77CVT for supplying me with 54 wiring diagrams for my 84. I think I have been able to track down the problem to my wiper switch. In saying this, it has now led to a mini project. While the door trim is off I may as well do all the othert work I had planned to do later, with regard to the doors.

Replace the Inner Window Seals, change the colour of the door trim, replace the rubbers, replace side mirrors with ones that are electric (which need painting first), check why windows take so long to move, correct left hand side window from rattling and place some insulation into the doors. Just to keep the music inside the car....

Once again thank you 77CVT.

Good news but I have to ask.  What has the door trim got to do with the windscreen washer pump not working? ;ay

I'm not surprised at all.  For a while the only way I could turn my wipers off was to open and close my door.  But that's another story.

So do tell. ;40

Well it is a bit of a story, here I go trying to explain.

In tracking down that my windsrceen washer pump not working came down to the wiper switch which is located in the door trim. I noticed that before I even started fixing it. I would have to take out the door trim which was already cracked around every screw and was already falling apart.

I promised myself that "Oneday" I would fix it and recolour the doors at the same time if I ever had to do work on my doors.

Now having to replace the windscreen wiper switch, ment taking off the plastic from around the door handle, which also ment taking off the complete door trim. I could not see the point in fixing the switch, putting it all back together then oneday in the future pulling it all apart again to fix the door trim, the mirrors and the windows seals.

So now is the time to do the lot. This may take a while due to financial restraints purchasing all the parts required, getting the doors trims retrimmed in black to match the rest of the interior and having to find a painter that could paint the electric mirrors.

Once all the "little jobs" are done I will place the inner door parts back together once and for the final time.

I hope this makes sense Cam.

Sure does.  I had no idea that the switch was in the door trim.  Thanks RJ and good luck.

RJ, I hade an issue a while ago where one of my windows was VERY slow to go up or down.  Also, the switch that controlled that window was loose and a bit wobbly.  When I replaced the switch, I was surprised to find the window moved a lot quicker.
I'm not saying that's your problem, but it's something else to check.

Thunder Kiss. Thank you for that piece of advise. I will look into that. Mind you both windows travel at the same speed up and down. SLOW.
