Steve from SR Performance may be able to help you, rather would help you, do not know how busy he is. He advertises in the Club mago. I also know some friends who are mechanics at Botany, they may not be real quick tho. Good luck ;30

I've had no actual experience yet with this guy, but I fully intend to use him for my engine rebuild...Sam's Performance at Padstow. He's been mentioned by quite a few in the club as well as hearing him mentioned at the off street drags at Eastern Creek too.

A few of my mates swear by Sams Performance, and I must admit I had forgotten about him. He built a motor for a friends VK Commodore, nothing special, but does 13 sec quarter miles, not bad for a mildly modified 308.

69, I recommend SR Performance as mentioned by DM above. Whatever he doesn't know will be more then compensated by his partner Peter's experience. His number is 95675007.

I can personally vouch that he will not stuff you around.

I have no experience with Sams so can't comment on that one!

I got my carb done at sams last year and got the car dyno tuned which was good. But at the time I asked about doing the engine,he said it would take about 9 months!  and thats similar with SR .what I need now is someone to finish the car in 2 days, yes 2 days.It only needs right head and right header and the manifold back on!.I have taken my car out of the place where it was at because they were to busy to finish it off, so I booked it in for monday at another place with the promise it would only take 2 days.so here I am now and they havent started yet,so I'm trying to look for another place!

Well I struck out with the mechanics.....too busy. They're closing up in a week or so to head down to Tassie for the Targa. How about we all get together and put a Vette in the Targa for a bit of fun?:b2

Try Milton and Paul, both excellent mechanics, Milton is into gocarts and Paul - buses.....:b4 Nonetheless, both great mechanics, love their revvy cars as well, have had a few themselves. They are based at Botany and their phone number is 97001772. Best of luck!;30

I'm giving the guys one more day after telling them off.they couldnt understand the bit about urgent-they said that they had to fix the daily people that come in first,WHY?is mine not a car?.he couldnt explain!then he said that the cars coming in were booked in,MINE was booked in on monday.he ran out out excuses and agreed to TRY and get into it tonight.MORON.In other words it seems our cars are not counted the same as everybody elses cars even though we pay the same amount to fix!ANYWAY I've lined up somebody else just incase.but I'll keep that number handy DM.Brutus I have been thinking about doing a targa race at some stage, cause I dont think its to hard on your car unless you want to win or something.I just want to go in it for the fun!Tassie would be good cause its nice and cool!

Andy...I know exactly what you mean about people who deal the way you've mentioned. I've had the same treatment from a local (supposedly reputable) exhaust shop recently. I told them exactly what I thought of their priorities and how they treat their customers on a preferred basis. It seems those who pay the most get theirs done first no matter whose in line first. Guess who doesn't get my business anymore...and I'll tell anyone who wants to know who they are too.
