Anyone tried Bridgestone Eager 340 ?
« on: May 02, 2007, 03:32:50 PM »
I'm getting the run around on tires. A week ago I was ordering the Firestones I wanted until I found out the 225/60 does not have white letters.

Then I had a backup plan that didn't quite work either.

Now I'm looking at the Eager 340...

Anyone had/have them?

Why only 225's,are you going for the stock look? The ones in your picture look bigger than 225?

The Yokie 352's are still available in 225-235-245/60/15 sizes, but in limited numbers. They have the white letters and give good traction compared to BFG's.
Minimum I would put on 15X8s is the 235/60 wide.
I do have 225/60/15 Kumho Ecsta on my Bonnie (15x7) and they are [comic book guy voice] the best tyres ever [/Comic book guy voice] I have had on the bonnie including some BFG's (sh#te) and yokie A005(?). Unfortunately these tyres are no longer available.

I've already got the Yoko 352's on it, I was hoping for something better.

In reguards to the 225/60 being too small:

Definately not. It depends on your front end set up.

This is how my car sits. I already have way more camber than normal just to get the tires in there (-2.5 each side at the moment) The car at the moment has 225/60 on the front and there really isn't the room to go any bigger.

-2.5 deg camber?!?!?!?  I assume your wheels backspace/offset isn't factory?

I had 352's on my old Torana and they were great!

Update:

Currently running the Bridgestone Eagers - had them fitted last week.

Even though they look awesome and it's my first set of white lettered tires: I'll most likely be going back to the Yoko's next time.
