C3 Conversions
« on: May 04, 2007, 01:00:18 PM »
I just had a guy Bob call me who has just moved here from the US and owns an 80 C3 and wants to convert it.
He lives in Hornsby and was hoping he could either buy a kit and do it himself or have someone convert it. he was hopeing there is someone close by.
I told him about you Chromie and told him there was the guy that does the C5's C6's in Hornsby (not sure if he does C3's?) but have forgotten his name? anyone?
Plus I have no idea of the costs?
He has registered for the forum today (I think?) so hopefully we'll hear from him soon.
The Vette is not yet in OZ so expect another thread on importing! He'll be shipping in a month or so.
His email is bobsaunders@mac.com if any of you would like to help him out, he would greatly appreciate it!

Hi one and all;42
My price for a conversion for C3's starts at $16,000.00 + G.S.T.
More for manuals.
I also do right firewall extensions for more leg room.
The cost of the engineers report is extra.
The cost of Australian compliance and registration requirements is also extra.
If he requires help with the importing I can assist with information on what is required.
I would not be able to commence this job until the later part of this year.
hope this helps;40

Fire wall from Corvette alterations $450
Dash conversion, was around $700

Hi JP;42
I think you have me mixed up with someone else;53
To my knowledge I did not sell you a firewall, as I do not replace firewalls when doing a conversion, I also do not recommend ford steering boxes as they are too bulky and give a poor steering feel.;38
I do not think that I have sold you anything to do any part of your conversion as I do not sell conversion parts as a rule.;27
