I have a 62 and in the middle of a restoration. I need to buy a new Convertible top and have had "Robbins" suggested as the one to go with. I am still not sure if I should go vinyl or canvas....HELP?

Hello 62Vette,

The answer to your question all depends whether you are restoring your car to its original glory .... ie:NCRS or not! ....

The soft cloth option is in my opinion the best option, because its flexible and not going to crease, from alot of usage and will remain looking like it did the day it was put on the car.

All new cars these days use them as they are more practical.

I have the white vinyl type roof which is what the car would have had when new, as its in keeping with the orginality of the car, however i don't tend to put it down alot (the guys in the club will vouch for that)because it ages the roof quicky and leaves marks by retaining creases in the fabric .. (im a bit an_l .);39

So go with the canvas and the soft type option..  that way you don't have to worry like me and enjoy your toy even more ;27
