Hi guy's, it's you little tasweegan friend back again

I'm after some idea of what I should be paying for a c2

You see my uncle is seriosly looking at joining the brotherhood and a C2 is the vette for him.

this week we went and had a look at a 64 that was orig. injected, but has since been carbied but the injection does come with the car.

it is currently being resprayed, some of you may even know the car as it is a mainland car, it was imported from Japan.

he's asking $69,000
manual
black int.
new carpets
shows 53,000miles
does require alil spit and polish in engine bay
engine number does look like it's been tampered with;wtf

give me your thoughts if you can;42

There really is no way of telling if its a factory FI car because nothing is documented on the car unless the guy has the window sticker or some other evidence. It looks like the car is getting just a quick respray with the tailights and all the chrome moulds in place. Regarding the price. Check out what 64s are going for in the states.64's are the cheapest of the mid years. If you can prove its an FI car its probably a good buy. Theres a 66 for sale on ebay for $77000 here (been for sale for ages)and also a 66 roadster that looks like its had a quality resto for 85 here. Hope that hasnt confused you much. Dave

Yeh, plenty of potential.
who ever tampered with the engine no. didn't do a very convincing job of it. you can still make out some of the original letters underneath and also failed to replace with the correct number of digits.
they have also successfully made the vin no. below the block no. unreadable by attacking it with a centre punch or the like!

I think this alone is enough to pass on this one.

It certainly is a mean machine, I have passed on the link to his advert.
But I'm not sure he'll go for it as I believe he's after something a 'lil more original, But I know which one I'd pick;54

Did the 64 FI's come with a fender badge, I know this is nothing to go by,i'm just curious?

I didn't pick up on the masking of the lights (this is my first up close and personal with a c2,Iguess I was a bit excited)
but your right, a$ 69,000 car deserves alot more attention in my opinion.
i don't care how good you are, you won't mask those lights well enough in the time it would take to pull the lights out!

looks like the search continues

thanks for the replies guy's;42
