Well what a fun night.
First let me start by thanking everyone who came along. What a great turn out. Thirty four I think at last count.
Jenny and Bob, thank you so much for putting this together and for the pre tour nibbles that Jenny made up. YUM YUM. Thanks heaps you two.
Now down to the night.
The bulk of us first all met up at the parking area before the Spit Bridge.
The weather was a bit foul at first but by the time we got to North head it had cleared up.
We all gathered at the meeting depot and waited for our tour guide.........
While we waited there we munched on the great nibbles that Jenny put together and had a read of the posters that aligned the wall. This one was of interest

Then it was off onto our tour with our guides leading the way.
I wonder what form the local ghost can take?

(Hmmm look at all those orbs, rain drops on the lens);39
There were many a building that we snaked our way in and out of.
(sorry for the quality of some of the shots. I had the little camera and it had trouble focusing in the night)Any buildings that we went in meant that we had to leave our lanterns outside. Thought this shot was quite appropriate.
There were some interesting artefacts.
I was sure that a ghost would pop up out of this one

Well it was not long after this that I ran out of batteries on my camera. ;30 ;30 ;30
But Bob started to take some and once I have them I will post them up.
But while we are waiting for them I have to tell you about the fun I got up to. I was in my element.
My first victim was Jenny. While we were all standing around listening with great intent I snuck up behind Jenny and gently brushed her hair with a branch off a tree. Well if you could have seen the look on her face. I laughed so hard it hurt.
Here is your ghost Jenny. I saved it for you. ;39
Next on my list was Paul, although I was after Steve T's wife.
I hid in a small dark room behind a door. Paul T walked into the room and as he did I pushed the door towards him. Purely by coincidence Ray S grabbed him on the ankle at the same time. Well I never seen a man move so quick. ;56
We then moved onto the shower block. This building was in complete darkness. I decided to wait outside but the rest of the boys seemed to be scarring the girls by the amount of screams that came from with in. Not being one to miss out on the fun I snuck inside. I worked my way into one of the shower cubicles and watched & waited as the gang filed past. Then I heard the voice of my poor next victim, Joy S. As she walked past I grabbed her on the ankle and said in a deep voice “Save me” You can imagine the result. ;43
After much laughter and the mens lives being threatened by the ladies, off we went up a dark and lonely track through the bush. A target rich environment for yours truly. ;35
Off again I trotted in front of the group and hid in the scrub. ;54
Along came the flickering of the lanterns held by our group to help see their way around. Then I saw my next target
I sat up in the bush and once again in a deep loud voice said "save me". Don't let any one tell you that our club members can't move quickly when they have to. :22
The track snaked it’s way up the hill in a zig zag pattern and at the request of the group I targeted my last person for the night. Cathy T.
This time I did a combination. Hid in the bush again and as Cathy walked past I grabbed her ankle and said those famous words yet again. I think Cathy goes in for a new heart next week ;53
I was not the only trouble maker of the night. Bob L has a twisted sense of humour as well. Our last stop of the night was the Mortuary. This was a verry small room with a granite table in the middle of it with a sheet draped over a maniken. We all stood very still and quiet while the tour guide ran through her speil. During the dead silence Bob kicked a metal bucket under the table. There are now nemerious people who are deaf in one ear from all the screams. Good one Bob. ;43
Michelle my better half is still hiding from embarrassment of my antics. ;48 ;39
Well as you can imagine I had a blast. A great crowd with a great sense of humour. I'll be watching my back from here on in.
Hope you all enjoyed the night.
We need to do a
DAY trip to this place guys with more of a factual history type tour. I think it would be really interesting.......and a damm lot safer for me. :22
