;32thanks guys, glad to see afew people have tried it and saved some money, evan quicker than ordering a new one by the time it would arrive.:)we all know how expensive some parts can get for these beasts.;51
Ausrs:
another thing you could do instead of the paperclip would be to drill it out and pop rivet it
OR install a self taper with locktite on it :)
had to do similar things in the past with fnord door handles and the pop rivet idea worked well

I have put the driver's side back on and there is a great improvement, Haven't had a chance to try the 90mph test yet but maybe at Easter. The Vette went back to the painter for some detailing before the reapplication of the Bra. Should get it back by Tuesday.
Thanks again!

Back in the late 80's a mirror was $175. They are cheaper now but back then I was browsing in an "english" parts store while my apprentice was getting parts for his Morry. Found a mirror in the bargain bin and asked what they wanted for it. He said "it needs a special bracket and screw, How about $10?" Oh, alright, I might be able to fab something to suit.......
