Old carpet removed, heat barrier installed, saved $$$

77CVT:
Do you guys have any Clark Rubber stores down there?  They have lots of auto stuff now.

Brutus:
Yeah we've got one about 2 mins away. I was actually going there this week to get some stuff to make a cover for the spa.

77CVT:
The foam backed insulation I got is $24 per metre (1m wide).  I don't have any heat at all now.  ;35

You can also buy rubber for the inner guard (a-arms) for $22 per metre (you need about 70 cm).  I also used a rubber seal from them for the hood seal.

Brutus:
I ditched the rubber for the inner guards even tho I had new replacements from Ecklers. Didn't like the way it cluttered up the inner guards so instead I made up some aluminium strips to go in their place around the ridge.
Here's a pic I took of it. This was taken quite a while ago so please ignore the bits that still look cruddy.

77CVT:
pretty ;35.  I'm not afraid to drive in the wet so I need some thing to prevent all the crap going into the engine bay.
