ps. i have found this forum very helpful in my learning

nifty:
there all vette so no problem.....but i think the 75 has the most hp rating from stock unless you can find an l82.personally i love the 69-72....but expect to pay big bucks.my pic would be the 77

Cameron 77C3:
I have a 77.  Bit of a bugger when it comes to a rebuild.  It was the year that they got ready for the next shape.  There are some parts that are only applicable to the 77 and it varies from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

Chromie:
I would go for the 1975 a tad simpler for information
The 1976 had some unigue features that were only for that year such as tail lights, steering wheel
1977 as cam said is a bit of a bugger as it was part pre 77 and part post 77 mainly in dash and steering column
But mostly I agree with nifty
I prefer the 1970-72 models better design and simpler;42

77CVT:
HP is irrelevant as they all need more! :evil

I had a '77 and parts were no big deal.  Buy the one in the best condition (paint / chassis / interior).
