Chevy’s 650-hp Corvette SS on track for 2008 intro

Nearly three years have passed since we first reported on Chevrolet’s plans for a super Corvette, a halo model well in excess of the already superb Z06. Judging by these spy shots, it appears assurances we were given earlier this year that the car was on the development fast track (“To Hell and Back,” May 8) were right on target.


While the pics don't show much, this confirms the likelyhood of the rumored Supercharged variant of the C6 Z06 happening.

(I also like the car in these pics because of its slammed ride height and colour :v ;41)

MADVET:
So the last C5 ZO6 ran 12sec quarters, the currant ZO6 runs 11 sec. This blown beast no doubt will run 10 sec. At the rate things are going it won't be long before you'd be able to buy an 8 or 9 sec Vette off the factory floor.;46
