The thickness of the fibreglass should be about 4-5mm
Anything less is a bugger to work with as the glue does not have enought surface for a reasonable bond.
Add black pigment to the glass this will make it much easier to gauge the thickness.;43

So to get that thickness, do you lay multiple wet  resined sheets of glass down?

You can lay it with about 10 layers of 225 or 3-4 of 600.;28

Great advice chromie.  Its a bit of work, but possibly the best thing given the luggage area. ;51
