jolinari:
nice video...500 hours on the body work!!!!

Cameron 77C3:
Great find Thunder

Billyray:
Yep, thats me.  The video was done by ABC, or Bris31 (or SBS, or one of those non-commercial stations nobody watches) for a show called "My Classic Car", I think.  This was filmed several years ago.

ausvette:
Actually my wifre thought it was fine to drive. She took it everywhere, it went to the shops, picked me up from the train station, went to the gym. With the 383 in it she was filling it up every couple of days. The owner of the local servo even gave her a discount card she was so regular. It was me that thought it drove like an old truck. Original idea was just to upgrade suspension and brakes and put the body back on, but as these things happen it all got out of hand.

In hindsight we should have just started with a wreck rather than destroying a nice car to create a custom, but the whole thing just evolved and by the time we finished pretty much the only things standard is part of the window frame and the top door hinges.

Dave.

Billyray:
Dave, dude !
Compared to the Celica, I assumed Barb thought the 62 was a bit harder to drive.  It absolutely felt like an old truck to me.
Filling up the car every couple of days...yeah, it sounds like she was using it well.
Do you have any before/during/after pics on the web that you can share, or upload for the pleasure of the other forum members?  Any stories about the rebuild?  Custom things that nobody notices but should be told about?
