the adelaide show: next to the 2 tone convert that sold...is an orange coupe...this car was from my home town..i know cause i was at that show.....the guys name was peter.(i wont give out his last name).he still has this car.it used to be green...its a 69 427@390 4 speed.he pranged it just before the first convention..and went to melbourne with it half sprayed orange/primer..he was in convoy with my old workmate.terry miller..who had the LS5 70 coupe which was my first vette i went in.. it was blue at first 2 conventions, now white and still in adelaide, and i hear still immaculate as well......i can send email pics of the white 70,but dont have any pics of pete's 69..sorry.thats what happens when  u get married and mum helps clean out your old room.:(

Now that is a great find.  I have down loaded them and will see if I can get them printed in the June issue of our mag with a little note on who found them, if I haven't missed the dead line.

Well done squire.

Good.

Pics are a little big but in this case there OK so we can read the text on them.

You have a U2U message as well.

And I have sent the info to Our club Secretary already.

You'll become a picture posting nut before long. ;53

Sorry about the squire thing.  Force of habbit.  Don't want to use peoples names on the forum without their permission.

Well done MADLT1

Also for you guys that dont know... I collected old footage from some of the founding members and put them onto DVD-R's. There are several DVD's ranging from the first convention & up! They are available from our club library video collection for loan! You have to come to the meeting to collect it or get a fellow member to get them. They are on loan only for the 1 month between meetings!
They are interesting viewing! and lots of burn outs!

A bit of a sidebar for you,
The Corvette Car Club of Australia folded in the 80's and in it's charter were directions that it's goods and chattels should go to a like minded club.
They were given to the Chevrolet Car Club of Victoria and their banner now resides on the wall of our clubrooms.
