Lack of entertainment??????......Randwick and Rosehill are advertised as Family entertainment venues! The Adults can have flutters on the horses (would have to check out dates?) and the kids have acres of grass to play on! Theres plentiful restaurants and I think they even have kids areas. I dont think we're talkin Dapto Dogs!!!!!! You could even have a fashion day for the Ladies with a prize for best dressed!

I HAVE BEEN TO ROSEHILL NOT SO LONG AGO ,AND THEY HAVE A BIG NEW UNDER COVER EXABITION HALL ,AND THEY ALWAYS HAVE KIDS RIDES THERE ,AND LOTS OF  LADIES TOO. LETS FACE IT YOU CANT GET A MORE BORING PLACE THEN BELLA VISTA. WARRICK FARM WOULD BE O.K. THATS WHERE THEY HAVE THE ALL FORD DAY.BUT REMEMBER ALL THE MAIN HORSE RACE DAYS ARE ON A SATURDAY, NOT SUNDAY.SO MAYBE IT MIGHT BE BETTER SOME WHERE ELSE ?

Hi  gang.   The thinking continues.

OK just to re-cap again.  So far we now have to date:-

First I suggested that "lets drop the quarter thing and anything to do with a particular location, apart from Sydney, from the names list. "

This left us with; plus the latest ones:-

Sydney Corvette Show

NSW Corvettes annual show

Corvettes at Sydney

Sydney's Corvettes 2006

S.A.S.A.C.S [Sydney All Series Annual Corvette Show]

C.A.S.A.S. [Corrvettes At Sydney Annual Show]

Pulse of Australia

CORVETTES HEADQUARTERS

'Corvettes, the Heartbeat of Sydney'

'Phantoms from Fox'

CORVETTES of SYDNEY SHOW (CSS) or (COSS)

*V.E.T.T Vetts Eat The Town!
*S.A.V.E Sydney All Vettes Event!
*The Sydney Vett-tacular
*The Sydney Vett Together

CORVETTES BY THE HARBOUR

CORVETTES WHERE IN THE HARBOUR

Cowvettes the ultimate stampede

Corvettes the ultimate horse power,2006

CORVETTE CORRAL

Sydney Corvettes Big Day Out

Some people have made the following suggestions and comments:-  [And Gang, I have in some cases just taken extracts from their posts]

"Can anyone come up with a abbreviated word which would be appropriate to our unique machines"

"We need a catchy name to attract people"

"You know you just cant beat"heartbeat of america" of course what about"pulse of australia" or along those lines as an oz motto.

"The whole message can be set around a corvette logo in between the first and second parenthasese"

"vetts in sydney australia............(visa).....then we could get the visa credit people on board as a major sponsor?"

"Darling Harbour ...............i think alote more of our partners would turn up as they would have plenty to do in the city."

"If the park at Darling Harbour is available it would be great exposure for the club and the cars and there is plenty to do and places to go"

"If the venue could be kept any where around Sydney Harbour or Darling Harbour in the future, I dont think it would get any better than this"

"How about a day at the horse races, Randwick or Rosehill"

So keep them rolling in guys and girls.

Back to you Gang.

Hay Gazz any updates from your neck of the woods?

As I have decided that I will not be running for the Presidents position at this years AGM. I think it best to let the new committee decide when & where they will hold the next club show & shine.

With the election being in August and the event usually in September maybe we should move it to give the new committee time to organise it.  That's if wheels have not already been set in motion for the venue of this event?

What do you guys reckon?

as i understand, with the AGM in august and the proposed car show being in september  &  our president not standing again,  I feel in the interest's of the club that  the proposal of the president to leave the descision to the new committee to be commended.

The decision not to run again was mine & I have been told  by a few more that they will not run for a committee position also.
