ORDERING THROUGH CORVETTE CENTRAL
jolinari:
Hey guys,
Just to let u know that i have never ordered goods of corvette central but decided to do so because they simply carry an extensive range in accessories.
Anyway i have placed my order and asked for a quote for the freight but they refused to do so , what i had to do is to pay them and then they could provide me with a quote...
i am still waiting for that quote but regardless on how much they gona charge me i will be obliged to use their quote (quote still has not been submitted yet, will let u know)
anyway the aim of the post is unlike corvette america u have to actually buy the goods before you get the quote for the freight...mmm wonder whether ecklers have the same system?

I am currently trying to place an order with Ecklers at the present time. However the freight charge is 45% of the order cost. I do not require the items in a hurry and am trying to get a price for USPS surface post which would be US$60 instead of US$200. I have been waiting nearly a week for a response via email. Corvette America wil send items through USPS(United States Postal Service) but do not have all the items I require, so I am considering purchasing the heavy items from Corvette America and the other from Ecklers. There is a size limit on the package size using USPS but the exaust manifold and other bits should fit. By using USPS I am assuming the charge is door to door. USPS have a handy freight calculator on their web site. :evil

I have recently ordered a few pairs of shoes from the USA and the freight charges are bloody expensive - and this is for 3 pairs of light sports shoes....bloody US$90 just for postage.

USPS doesnt necessarily go to your door unless it fits in your mailbox! Otherwise you pick it up from the Post office. Also I think they have a weight limit! When you buy something You just have to make sure you tell them you want to send it by POST not UPS.
90-95% of US businesses will not respond to emails or messages left on answering machines! I lived there for a while Trust me its mostly true, I have no idea why- because its obviously bad for business, dont be offended cause unfortunately thats just how they are!
ecklers will post USPS! unless its too big or the part has to be sent from another location. You will have to CALL them for the quote!
